Terroir | The grapes come from Mukuzani, one of the oldest Georgian appellations. Mukuzani is located in the province of Kakhetia. The climate here is temperate, tending to subtropical, with hot summers and moderate winters. The bottom consists of brown earth and old river deposits. |

Vinification | The grapes are fermented at controlled temperatures (23-28°C) in stainless steel tanks. After 12-15 days, the wine was decanted clean and transferred for malolactic fermentation. This was followed by aging for 9-12 months in 225 l oak barriques. |
Impression | Deep dark red. In the nose cherries, blackberries and laurel. Firm and spicy on the attack. Ripe red and black fruit on the palate. Dense structure with tannins in the finish. |
Did you know? | Mukuzani has been a protected designation of origin since 1893, one of the oldest in Georgia. Only wines from the Saperavi grape fall under the appellation. They are usually powerful and with a dense structure. Wood aging is not mandatory, but it is the tradition of this area. |
